Media Sales Manager

About the Job
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Manager to drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and market expansion while ensuring the company remains competitive and innovative. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing strategic sales plans, leading and motivating the sales team, identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets. The role requires strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills to effectively manage sales operations, monitor market trends, and implement growth-focused strategies. The Sales Manager will also collaborate closely with internal teams to enhance customer satisfaction, strengthen brand presence, and contribute to the overall business development and long-term success of the organization.
Role & responsibilities :
Identify and acquire new advertisers and business clients.
Generate leads through market visits, references, networking, cold calling, and digital platforms.
Explore opportunities for event sponsorships, brand partnerships, and integrated campaigns.
Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to closure and payment collection.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, brands, advertising agencies, and media planners.
Understand client requirements and recommend suitable radio advertising solutions.
Prepare customized advertising proposals, media plans, quotations, and commercial packages.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales/revenue targets.
Coordinate with the RJ, Programming, Creative, Production, Marketing, and Operations teams to execute campaigns smoothly.
Follow up with clients for campaign approvals, creatives, payments, and renewals.
Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, sales pipeline, bookings, and collections.
Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing, and advertising opportunities
Ensure excellent client servicing and encourage repeat business.
Skills and Qualification:
• Experience: 4-10 years of sales experience
• Communication skills: Sales Manager must also possess exceptional communication skills both in verbal and written form
• Interpersonal skills: Excellent organizational ability, have the ability to multitask, prioritize and meet tight deadlines
• People skills: Must possess exceptional people skills that will be especially useful in enabling quality interactions with the business client
• Research and Analytical Skills: The Sales Manager must also possess exceptional research and analytical skills. He must be capable of digging out sales and market information and processing it into actionable insights, approaches, and strategies to further the sales department’s agenda.

We are looking for someone who is confident, outgoing, persuasive, commercially aware, and passionate about sales and media. Someone who can walk into a business, understand its marketing needs, and turn that requirement into a successful advertising campaign for the station.
