Job Summary
Seeking a Contracts Specialist to support outsourced discovery science services. The role will draft, review, negotiate, and process supplier agreements using established templates, playbooks, and CLM systems.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
2+ years of contract drafting/negotiation experience in Pharma, Biotech, CRO, or Life Sciences.
Knowledge of IP, confidentiality, indemnification, liability, and payment terms.
Experience managing multiple contracts simultaneously.
Experience with CLM systems.
Strong communication and supplier negotiation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Indiana location required.
Preferred Skills
Experience with preclinical CRO, discovery biology, or chemistry contracts.
Biology or related scientific background.
Experience with SaaS/software agreements.
SAP Ariba or similar procurement system experience.
Familiarity with AI tools for contract drafting/review.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize CDAs, work orders, amendments, and SaaS agreements.
Negotiate with external suppliers using established playbooks.
Track contracts, approvals, and records in the CLM system.
Identify and escalate non-standard terms and risks.
Create purchase requisitions in SAP Ariba.
Provide contract status updates to the contracting lead.
