Product Manager – Rate Benchmarking Simulator
Location: Remote (US)
About The Company
Our client is one of the largest healthcare organizations in the U.S., serving millions of members across pharmacy, insurance, and care delivery. Its Network Analytics team uses data science to shape how the company builds and contracts its provider networks.
Job Summary
We're looking for a mid-level Product Manager to lead a new rate benchmarking simulator, an add-on to the client's provider contracting tools. The simulator will compare contracted rates against market benchmarks and show where the organization pays above or below market, which will inform contracting strategy and negotiations. You'll own the product from kickoff to MVP and lead a small team of two data scientists and one data engineer.
Key Responsibilities
Own the product vision, roadmap and backlog for the simulator
Refine requirements with network contracting and analytics stakeholders (requirements are largely defined already)
Turn business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria and success metrics
Run the delivery cadence (sprint planning, standups, demos) with the data science and engineering team
Track milestones from data pipeline design through MVP, UAT and knowledge transfer
Give leadership regular status updates on progress, risks and decisions
Lead user acceptance testing and sign off on deliverables
Requirements
3–7 years of product management experience, ideally on data, analytics or internal decision-support products
Experience leading cross-functional teams of data scientists and engineers
Strong grasp of Agile/Scrum methods and backlog tools (Jira, Azure DevOps or similar)
Able to turn complex analytical concepts into business requirements and back again
Excellent communication with senior, non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare payer, provider network or provider contracting experience
Familiarity with reimbursement methods (fee schedules, Medicare-based pricing, DRGs)
Exposure to cloud data platforms (GCP/BigQuery)
Experience with pricing, benchmarking or scenario-modeling tools
