LLM - Engineering Expert

We’re Hiring: AI Evaluation Engineering Expert
We’re looking for experienced engineering professionals to work on a short-term remote contract focused on AI evaluation, engineering simulations, and technical problem-solving.
Location: Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Turkey, Brazil, Colombia
Engagement: Contractor
Duration: Up to 24 weeks
Start Date: Immediate
Availability: 40 hours/week with 4 hours of PST overlap
Compensation:
• $500 per approved task
• Average task handling time: 30–40 hours
• Approximate hourly equivalent: $12.50–$16.67/hour
• Rates are in USD and will be converted to your local currency
What we’re looking for:
• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related engineering field
• 10+ years of hands-on engineering design experience
• Strong Python scripting and experience with engineering simulation tools
• Experience with tools such as OpenFOAM, FEniCSx, CalculiX, ngspice, PySpice, python-control, CadQuery, OpenModelica, Cantera, Gmsh, or similar
• Experience working with LLMs, coding agents, or AI evaluation
• Ability to analyze AI agent trajectories and identify reasoning, coding, or tool-use failures
• Strong understanding of physical plausibility, units, boundary conditions, convergence, and technical accuracy
• Strong problem-solving and technical documentation skills
What you’ll do:
• Design complex engineering simulation and design problems for AI evaluation
• Build and validate simulation environments using open-source tools
• Create reference solutions and objective automated graders
• Analyze AI-generated solutions and execution logs
• Identify failure modes and technical reasoning gaps
• Refine benchmark difficulty based on model performance
• Collaborate with AI researchers and engineering experts
