LegalEdge After College is our post-graduate law vertical. It prepares law graduates for LLM entrance exams (CLAT PG, AILET PG and university LLM entrances) and the UGC NET Law exam for JRF and Assistant Professor eligibility.
Role purpose
The Faculty – Legal PG owns teaching quality and student results across assigned law subjects for LLM entrance and UGC NET Law batches. The role combines live classroom delivery, exam-aligned content creation and student mentoring, with direct accountability for selections and NET/JRF qualifications.
Key responsibilities
Teaching and delivery
Deliver live online classes, doubt-clearing sessions and revision marathons for LLM entrance and UGC NET Law (Paper 2) batches.
Teach core subjects including Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Criminal Law (BNS, BNSS, BSA), Law of Contracts, Torts, Family Law, Property Law, International Law, Environmental Law, IPR, Labour and Company Law, as assigned.
Cover UGC NET Paper 1 (Teaching & Research Aptitude) topics where required.
Adapt pedagogy to the objective, MCQ-based pattern of current LLM entrance and NET exams.
Content and academics
Create and review lecture notes, subject modules, MCQ banks, sectional tests and full-length mock tests.
Track syllabus changes, landmark judgments, new legislation and amendments; update content within the cycle.
Analyse previous-year papers and exam trends to keep the curriculum and test series exam-aligned.
Deliver regular YouTube content for the LegalEdge channel (live sessions, topic explainers, current legal updates) and contribute to webinars and social content.
Student mentoring and outcomes
Run one-on-one and small-group mentoring; build individual study plans for at-risk and high-potential students.
Review test performance and share actionable feedback with students and the academic team.
Support students through post-result counselling (college choice for LLM, JRF/AP pathways for NET).
Business and team support
Conduct demo classes, orientation sessions and webinars that support enrolments.
Work with Growth, Product and Operations teams on batch planning, schedules and student feedback.
Mentor junior faculty and subject matter experts on content standards.
Essential
Qualifications and experience
LL.B. (3-year or 5-year integrated) and LL.M. from a recognised university.
UGC NET (Law) qualified.
2+ years of teaching experience in LLM entrance coaching, UGC NET Law coaching or a law college.
Strong command of core and optional law subjects, including the new criminal laws (BNS, BNSS, BSA).
Fluency in English; comfortable teaching in Hinglish for mixed-language batches.
Hands-on YouTube exposure: on-camera teaching, live streams or recorded lectures for an education channel.
Preferred
JRF qualified, or Ph.D. (pursuing or completed) in Law.
LLM from an NLU or a top-tier law school.
Proven record of student selections in CLAT PG / AILET PG or NET/JRF results.
Prior experience teaching on live online platforms.
Skills and competencies
Clear, engaging explanation of complex legal concepts for an exam-focused audience.
Strong MCQ framing, question-setting and paper-analysis ability.
Command of case law and the ability to link judgments to likely exam questions.
Comfort with online teaching tools (Zoom, digital pen/tablet, LMS, Google Workspace).
Student-first mindset with patience for mentoring and doubt-solving.
Ownership of results, deadlines and content quality.
Collaborative working with academic, growth and operations teams.
