AI Agentic Developer

World Wide Technology is looking for an Agentic Developer to join our Strategic Resourcing practice. This is a contract role supporting one of WWT’s enterprise customers. The selected candidate will be employed by one of WWT’s Empaneled Partner.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Level 1 Agentic Developer to support the development, configuration, testing and maintenance of AI-powered applications, copilots and agents.
Working under the direction of senior developers and solution architects, the role will complete assigned technical tasks using approved platforms, patterns and development standards. The role is focused on hands-on delivery and technical capability development and does not hold responsibility for strategic planning, architecture decisions, governance approvals or control ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and configure AI agents, copilots and AI-enabled applications under the direction of senior team members.
Build and maintain prompts, workflows and automation logic using approved development patterns.
Implement integrations with approved APIs, enterprise systems and data sources.
Complete assigned development tasks using approved reusable components, templates and standards.
Perform unit testing, support user testing and document test outcomes.
Investigate defects and technical issues and escalate where additional support or decisions are required.
Support deployments across development, test and production environments using established procedures.
Participate in code reviews and implement feedback provided by senior developers and architects.
Maintain technical documentation for assigned solutions, components and deployments.
Monitor assigned solutions and assist with investigating performance, usage and reliability issues.
Apply approved AI development, security and governance standards during solution delivery
Contribute to approved proofs of concept, pilots and technical experimentation.
Participate in agile delivery activities and complete assigned backlog items.
Desired Experience
Exposure to application development, automation or systems integration.
Experience with at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python (preferred), C#, JavaScript or PowerShell.
Familiarity with APIs, JSON, REST services and system integration concepts.
Exposure to AI development platforms such as Agent 365, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, GitHub Copilot or comparable technologies.
Basic understanding of generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering and agentic AI concepts.
Familiarity with source control and collaborative development practices using GitHub or equivalent tooling.
Understanding of software testing, debugging and technical troubleshooting.
Exposure to Microsoft Azure cloud platform is desirable.
Ability to follow technical standards, document work clearly and incorporate review feedback.
Strong problem-solving skills, technical curiosity and willingness to develop new capabilities.
