Senior Graphic Designer – Brand Identity

We’re looking for the second kind.
At Origami / Bloombox, we work at the intersection of strategy, ideas, identity and storytelling. We’re looking for a Senior Graphic Designer who can take a thought, a business challenge or a blank sheet of paper — and turn it into a visual world that people can recognise, remember and feel.
YOUR CANVAS
You could be building a brand from scratch one day.
Reimagining an established brand the next.
And the next, figuring out how that identity lives across a website, campaign, social feed, presentation, film or physical experience.
You will:
— Develop brand identities and visual identity systems from the ground up.
— Translate strategy, positioning and brand stories into distinctive design territories.
— Explore and develop logos, typography, colour, imagery, graphic languages and design systems.
— Build brand guidelines that are useful, thoughtful and actually work in the real world.
— Create design narratives and presentations that make an idea impossible to ignore.
— Work closely with strategists, writers, client partners and other creatives.
— Challenge briefs when necessary and bring your own point of view to the table.
— Take ownership from first sketch to final pixel.
— Mentor younger designers and raise the creative bar around you.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
4–7 years of experience in branding, graphic design, advertising or a similar creative environment.
But experience alone won't get you through the door.
We’re looking for someone with:
A point of view.
You know what good design looks like — and more importantly, why it works.
Conceptual thinking.
You don't jump into Illustrator before understanding the problem.
Craft.
You care about the kerning, the grid, the colour, the detail and everything in between.
Curiosity.
You look beyond Pinterest. You observe culture, people, businesses, technology and the world around you.
Storytelling.
You can explain an idea as well as you can design it.
Ownership.
You don't wait for someone to tell you every next step.
YOUR TOOLKIT
Strong command of:
Adobe Illustrator | Photoshop | InDesign | Figma
Bonus points if you play with motion, AI, 3D, generative tools or anything else that expands what design can do.
MOST IMPORTANTLY…
We’re not looking for someone who can simply execute a brief.
We’re looking for someone who can shape the brief.
Someone who can look at a business problem and see a creative opportunity.
Someone who believes a logo is not a brand.
Someone who understands that a visual identity isn't a collection of pretty assets.
It's a system of meaning.
