AI Engineer
Experience: 3 to 4 years
Purpose: Build production-grade AI capabilities for the greytHR platform and internal
engineering productivity.
Responsibilities
Design and build AI-powered services such as semantic search, retrieval-augmented generation, assistant workflows, and intelligent recommendations.
Create reusable AI platform components including evaluation pipelines, prompt and version management, guardrails, and service integration patterns.
Work on agentic workflows with human-in-the-loop, auditability, privacy, and access-control considerations.
Collaborate with platform and product teams to productionise pilots into secure and measurable capabilities.
Improve developer productivity through AI-assisted debugging, observability insights, and engineering tools.
Define quality metrics, monitor model behaviour, and manage production risks such as hallucination, latency, cost, and data leakage.
Core skills required
Strong programming skills in Python and solid backend engineering fundamentals.
Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, and RAG patterns.
Experience building APIs, microservices, and integration layers.
Good understanding of evaluation methods, hallucination risks, grounding, prompt quality, and safety controls.
Exposure to cloud deployment, observability, CI/CD, and cost-aware system design.
Ability to work across ambiguous product and platform problems.
Preferred skills
Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, semantic search stacks, agent frameworks, or workflow orchestration tools.
Knowledge of data privacy, access control, enterprise AI governance, and secure development practices.
Experience with experimentation frameworks and AI quality benchmarks.
Exposure to HRMS, workflow, search, enterprise SaaS, or customer support automation domains.
