Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Node.js, backend development, RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-based applications. Experience working with Agentic AI, Generative AI, or AI-powered applications is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.
Build high-performance RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services.
Develop and integrate AI-powered capabilities and intelligent workflows where applicable.
Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and application developers to integrate LLMs, AI agents, and AI services into production applications.
Develop APIs and services that support AI agents, tool calling, workflow orchestration, and automated decision-making.
Integrate third-party APIs, cloud services, databases, and enterprise applications.
Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available backend architectures.
Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
Work with relational and NoSQL databases and develop efficient data-access layers.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, architecture decisions, and Agile ceremonies.
Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to root-cause analysis and resolution.
Collaborate with teams across India and the US while working US shift timings.
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Node.js.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
Extensive experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
Strong understanding of backend architecture and distributed systems.
Experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar Node.js frameworks.
Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
Strong experience with Git and modern software development practices.
Experience with API security, authentication, authorization, and integration patterns.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred – Agentic AI / Generative AI Experience
Experience with Agentic AI or Generative AI is highly preferred. Candidates with hands-on experience in any of the following areas are encouraged to apply:

Integration of LLMs such as OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or similar models.
Experience with LLM APIs and SDKs.
