SAP BTP Developer

Role Description The SAP BTP Developer role is a full-time, hybrid position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area, with flexibility for some work-from-home. The person in this role will design, develop, and deploy applications and extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform, ensuring alignment with business process requirements and enterprise architecture standards. Typical responsibilities include building and maintaining integration scenarios with SAP and non-SAP systems, writing clean and efficient code, and optimizing solutions for performance, security, and scalability. The SAP BTP Developer will collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and other technical teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, and support ongoing enhancements. The role also involves staying current with SAP BTP services, tools, and best practices, and contributing to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of business process analysis and design, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Hands-on software development experience, including application design, implementation, and lifecycle management.
Proficiency in programming (e.g., Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, or similar languages) for building SAP BTP applications and extensions.
Experience with integration concepts and tools, including APIs, OData services, event-driven architectures, and connectivity to SAP and non-SAP systems.
Working knowledge of SAP products such as SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Integration, SAP Fiori, or SAP UI5.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines, along with version control tools (e.g., Git).
Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and document solutions effectively.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Relevant SAP certifications, prior consulting experience, or work in startup or high-growth environments are advantageous.
