About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing finance and accounting team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accounting data is complete and up to date.
The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping fundamentals, experience working with cloud-based accounting systems, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Role & Responsibilities
• Recording and categorizing financial transactions for India and Canada in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar accounting software.
• Processing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.
• Exposure to data entry along with managing invoice processing and maintaining accurate vendor records.
• Performing bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintaining supporting documentation and ensuring accounting records are audit-ready.
• Assisting with payroll inputs and employee expense processing.
• Identifying discrepancies and escalating issues for review.
• Supporting month-end accounting activities and reporting requirements.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure financial data accuracy.
Skills & Qualifications
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting fundamentals.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar accounting software.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote environment.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience.
• Experience working with cloud-based accounting systems.
• Prior experience in a professional services, accounting, or finance environment is preferred.
