HR Business Partner

About the opportunity
The HR Business Partner is a trusted advisor who collaborates with Griffith University’s leadership to deliver effective and efficient HR services. Supporting the Senior HR Business Partner within the Health Group, Griffith University’s largest academic group, this role partners with leaders across a diverse portfolio of disciplines, research institutes, clinics, and professional services. The Health Group is committed to improving health outcomes through excellence in education, research, and community impact. Leveraging data and HR best practices, the HR Business Partner implements people strategies that enhance workforce capability, engagement, and compliance while supporting the Group’s strategic objectives and the University’s broader goals.
Your key responsibilities include:
Partner with the Senior HR Business Partner to execute on key workforce operational activities
Provide timely and practical advice on employee related issues (e.g performance management, case management, conflict resolution, coaching)
Support workforce planning activities & contribute to change management initiatives
Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
Maintain accurate and compliant HR Records
Contribute to HR projects and initiatives & collaborate with internal stakeholders
Influencing leaders across the University to foster a culture of belonging, integrity and commitment
What you will bring to this role
Knowledge of contemporary human resource practices and related legislation and industrial instruments
Demonstrated ability to provide advice and manage the full range of HR issues
High level communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Exceptional computer literacy with an ability to use complex HRIS and related reporting/analytics tools
A degree in Human Resource Management or a related field, and relevant knowledge and experience in human resource management and industrial relations in a diverse and complex organisation.

This is a continuing opportunity and can be offered as full time or part time and will be based at the Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.

Salary
HEW 8 Salary – Base range - $117,579.27 - $132,273.33 + 17% super. Full package range - $137,567.74 - $154,759.79.
