The Qualifications We Seek
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Skills & Experience
3 to 5 years of software engineering or related technical experience
More than 3 years of hands-on Ruby on Rails development experience, particularly with versions 4 and 5
More than 3 years of front-end development experience using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Angular or React
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and system integrations
Proficiency in Delayed Jobs, Bootstrap, GitHub, and PostgreSQL
Experience with Microsoft frameworks and SQL databases
Strong knowledge of testing tools such as RSpec and Cucumber
Willingness to work on a project-based engagement under a night shift schedule
Your Daily Tasks
Build new features from the product roadmap using efficient Ruby code and established design patterns
Maintain and enhance existing code, tests, and application features
Integrate third-party software through SOAP and REST APIs
Plan and develop efficient UX/UI for new and existing features
Design, develop, and implement enterprise-scale solutions aligned with business strategies and goals
Apply modern principles, methodologies, tools, and processes to deliver new business capabilities
Collaborate with technical teams to define specifications for new applications
Write high-quality, well-documented code and deliver complete applications on schedule
Design creative prototypes according to specifications
Perform unit and integration tests before launch
Conduct functional and non-functional tests
Perform software design and code reviews
Resolve development and maintenance change requests
Integrate applications with third-party products and existing IT infrastructure
Support clients throughout User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Provide high-value technical consulting services
Expand technical expertise across new products, technologies, and software versions
Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements, provide feedback, and clarify specifications
Review requirements and data models and translate them into reliable applications and architecture
Track and resolve software defects
