About OFF/CALL
OFF/CALL (@offcall.club) is a digital community for doctors and medical students that celebrates life beyond the hospital: the music, sport, travel, art and stories that make us who we are outside our white coats. We create reels, features and events that show doctors as people, not just professionals.
The Role
We are looking for a senior video editor who can take raw footage and turn it into short-form content people stop scrolling for, save and send to friends. You will own the edit end to end: story, pacing, sound, motion graphics and the final polish.
This is a senior role. We are not looking for someone who can simply cut clips together. We are looking for someone who understands why a reel works.
What You Will Do
• Edit Instagram Reels and short-form videos (15 to 90 seconds) from raw footage, interviews, event coverage and creator clips
• Build strong hooks in the first 2 seconds, and pace the edit for retention through to the last frame
• Design motion graphics, kinetic typography, animated titles, lower thirds and transitions that fit the OFF/CALL brand
• Handle sound design, music selection, beat-synced cuts and audio cleanup
• Colour-correct and grade footage shot on different cameras and phones so that it looks consistent
• Create templates and a visual style system so that our content looks unmistakably OFF/CALL
• Work with our content and social media team on ideas, scripts and trends, and suggest better ways to tell a story
• Deliver to deadlines, with multiple formats and versions when needed
What We Are Looking For
• 4+ years of professional video editing experience, with a strong short-form portfolio (Reels, Shorts, TikTok-style content)
• Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (DaVinci Resolve is a plus)
• Strong motion graphics skills: typography animation, shape animation, tracking and masking
• A sharp sense of storytelling, timing and rhythm, so that you know what to cut and not just how to cut
• An understanding of Instagram trends, formats, audio trends and what drives retention, shares and saves
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and to take creative ownership
• Experience editing interviews, documentary-style or people-led stories is a strong plus
Good to Have
• Experience with brand, creator or community-led content
• Basic Photoshop or Illustrator skills
• Experience with subtitles and caption styling for social media
This Role Is Not for You If
• You are a beginner or a fresher, or you mainly do basic cuts and template edits
• You do not have a short-form portfolio to show
• You are not comfortable with motion graphics
