CRM QA Engineer / Tester - Automation

Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled CRM QA Engineer / Tester with strong experience in functional
testing and automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience testing CRM
applications, APIs, integrations, workflows, and data, along with the ability to build and maintain
automation frameworks.
The candidate will work closely with Product, Engineering, Business, and QA teams to ensure
high-quality and reliable CRM releases.
Key Responsibilities
● Understand business requirements, user stories, PRDs, and CRM workflows.
● Create detailed test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test plans.
● Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and sanity testing.
● Test CRM modules such as:
○ Lead Management
○ Customer/Account Management
○ Contact Management
○ Opportunity/Deal Management
○ Case/Ticket Management
○ Campaign Management
○ User & Role Management
○ Notifications and Workflow Automation
● Validate CRM workflows, business rules, approvals, triggers, and role-based access.
● Perform API testing for CRM services and third-party integrations.
● Validate data flow between CRM and other systems using API and database
validation.
● Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using tools such as JIRA.
● Perform root-cause analysis and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
● Develop and maintain UI automation scripts for critical CRM workflows.
● Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium / Playwright.
● Develop API automation using tools/frameworks such as Rest Assured, Postman, or equivalent.
●Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
●Identify suitable candidates for automation and continuously improve automation coverage.
● Participate in regression planning and release sign-off.
● Contribute to Shift-Left testing, automation-first practices, and continuous quality improvement.
Required Technical Skills
CRM Testing integrations.
● Strong understanding of CRM concepts, workflows, and business processes.
● Experience testing CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho CRM, HubSpot, or similar CRM products.
● Experience with role-based access, workflows, approvals, notifications, and integrations.
Automation
● Strong hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright.
● Good programming/scripting skills in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
● Experience designing or working with automation frameworks.
● Experience with API automation/testing using Rest Assured, Postman, Karate, or equivalent.
Database
● Good knowledge of SQL.
● Ability to validate backend data and perform data reconciliation between CRM and integrated systems.
CI/CD & Tools
● Experience with Git.
● Exposure to Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD tools.
● Experience with JIRA and test management tools such as TestRail, Xray, Zephyr, or equivalent.
Good to Have
● Experience testing Salesforce / Dynamics 365.
● Experience with CRM integrations and third-party APIs.
● Knowledge of microservices and distributed systems.
● Exposure to performance testing. ● Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
● Experience with Docker/Kubernetes is a plus.
● Exposure to AI-assisted testing or AI-based test automation is an added advantage.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience Range
3-6 years of relevant QA/testing experience, with at least 2+ years of hands-on automation
experience.
Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be a hands-on QA Engineer who can independently handle CRM
functional testing while also contributing significantly to UI and API automation. Candidates with
strong CRM domain knowledge and experience building/maintaining automation frameworks will
be preferred.
