Head of Fleet Management

The Head of Fleet Management is responsible for the long-term sustainability, scalability and operational health of foodpanda Singapore's rider ecosystem.
This role owns the strategy and execution across rider growth, lifecycle management, governance, compliance and operational excellence, ensuring that foodpanda maintains a healthy, engaged and compliant fleet capable of supporting business growth.
As a member of the Singapore Logistics leadership team, the Head of Fleet Health partners closely with local and regional stakeholders across Logistics, Product, Finance, Legal, Public Affairs and Rider Experience to build scalable systems, drive continuous improvement and strengthen foodpanda's position as the preferred platform for delivery partners.
Key Responsibilities
Rider Growth
Own Singapore's rider growth planning and execution, ensuring sufficient fleet capacity and vehicle mix to support business growth and operational performance.
Lead rider acquisition, retention and reactivation strategies to maintain long-term fleet sustainability
Take full ownership of the onboarding journey for new riders including optimization of onboarding process and requirements, training, equipment and approval
Manage the recruitment budget and incentives, driving continuous improvements in cost per acquisition
Drive the engagement process for riders in the funnel, setting and standardizing process, leading to improvements in conversion rates
Monitor market dynamics, competitive trends and fleet health indicators to proactively identify risks and opportunities
Oversee the rider reactivations, driving improvements through comms, incentives and testing
Rider Experience
Partner cross-functionally to remove rider friction points and strengthen rider experience across all stages of the lifecycle
Manage rider support tickets, working with the functional team to reduce incident rates and rider satisfaction through continuous improvement in SOPs and rider education
Oversee support requests at the rider hub, ensuring quick and effective resolutions, while working on transition to in app support
Governance, Compliance & Risk
Work with the functional counterparts to establish and maintain governance frameworks that ensure compliance with platform policies, regulatory requirements and operational standards.
Partner with Legal, Public Affairs and Operations teams to proactively manage operational and regulatory risks
Continuously monitor gaps in compliance and work with functional stakeholders to address improvements in processes
Experienced Leader: Strong leadership skills with experience managing large, diverse teams. Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals
Operational Rigor: 7+ years of experience in operations management. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
Thrives in Speed: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong sense of urgency and adaptability.
Stakeholder management and communication: Ability to think strategically and execute operational plans that align with business goals. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a track record of driving outcomes and ability to influence stakeholders in a cross-functional environment
