Role Description The Article Trainee will support the firm’s chartered accountants in day-to-day accounting, tax, and compliance work for a variety of clients. Responsibilities include assisting with bookkeeping, preparing working papers, supporting income tax and GST filings, and helping with documentation for assessments, refunds, and demands. The role involves working on assignments related to international taxation, IFRS (Ind AS), and compliance for NGOs and non-profit organizations, under supervision and guidance. The trainee will also help with client communication, maintaining records, and basic research on tax and regulatory updates. This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in accounting principles and tax concepts, including income tax and GST.
Ability to work with financial statements, ledgers, and supporting documentation with attention to detail.
Interest in learning international taxation and IFRS (Ind AS) and applying these standards in practice.
Capability to handle compliance and documentation for NGOs and non-profit organizations.
Proficiency in MS Excel and basic accounting software; comfort with digital documentation and online portals.
Good written and verbal communication skills for professional client interactions and reporting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
Enrollment in CA course (Article/Trainee stage) or equivalent professional accounting pathway, as applicable.
Willingness to learn, collaborate in a team-oriented environment, and maintain professional ethics and confidentiality.
