Role - Credit Manager

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CA – Credit Manager role based in Mumbai. The Credit Manager will evaluate credit proposals, conduct detailed financial and risk analysis, and assess the creditworthiness of existing and prospective customers. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing credit appraisals, recommending appropriate credit limits and structures, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory guidelines. The role involves continuous monitoring of portfolios, identifying early warning signals, and coordinating with business teams to maintain asset quality. The Credit Manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders, contribute to credit policy enhancements, and support decision-making with clear, data-backed recommendations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Credit Management and Credit skills for evaluating and structuring credit proposals.
Candidates should possess Credit Risk Management skills to identify, measure, and mitigate portfolio and individual exposure risks.
Candidates should possess Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge to interpret financial statements, cash flows, and market data.
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with relevant experience in banking or financial services credit roles is preferred.
Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines, internal credit policies, and risk frameworks.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other analytical tools, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to communicate complex credit decisions clearly, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and manage deadlines.
Prior experience in retail or SME lending, portfolio monitoring, or credit underwriting in a bank/NBFC is an advantage.
