Director - Data Engineering

Location – Noida (Sec- 142)
Shift – 2:30 pm to 11:30 pm
Work Mode – Work from the Office (3 Days from the office and 2 Days from Home)
We’re looking for a strong engineering leader with experience in data platform engineering, data pipelines, data quality & validation, cloud infrastructure, and production operation. The ideal candidate should have experience leading 25+ member engineering teams, driving AI/automation initiatives, working in customer-facing environments, and collaborating with cross-functional and global teams. Healthcare IT experience (EMR, Epic/Cerner, HL7, FHIR, ADT) would be a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Run the CES implementation engineering team: client onboarding, data ingestion and mapping, validation, and the rest of what engineering owns in getting a health system live
Help local QA and Analytics team within a matrixed reporting structure (dotted to workstream leaders)
Build AI and automation into the implementation workflow, covering data mapping, test generation, failure triage, documentation, and reporting. Get the team using it and track what it actually replaces
Reduce time-to-go-live per client through standardization, reusable templates, and self-service tooling, and report on that number
Coach managers and senior engineers on technical judgment, execution quality, and communication with stakeholders
Hire and retain strong engineers in a competitive market, and build a team culture around ownership and customer impact
Turn company and client priorities into engineering roadmaps with dates and measurable outcomes, and keep short-term delivery pressure from eroding the architecture
Work closely with Product, Program Management, Data Science, Client Success, Security, and the US engineering team, and give them an accurate read on status and risk
Represent engineering in architecture reviews, roadmap planning, and leadership meetings
Act as a senior Qventus leader in the India office
What We're Looking For
Energizing leader who takes ownership of the culture and deliverables
Experience leading engineering organizations of roughly 25 or more people, including managers or leads
Solid background in data platform engineering: pipelines, data quality and validation, cloud infrastructure, and production operations
Demonstrated experience automating engineering work. We will ask about something specific you built or drove that your team kept using
Regular hands-on use of AI tools in your own work, with a realistic view of where they help and where they fall short
Track record delivering in a customer-facing environment with hard deadlines and low tolerance for outages
Comfortable leading teams that do not report to you directly
Clear communicator with executives and with senior engineers
Bonus Points For
Healthcare IT background: EMR integration, Epic or Cerner, HL7 or FHIR, ADT data
Experience as the senior engineering leader for an India site or another regional office
Having built self-service tooling that measurably reduced dependencies for your team
A mix of platform engineering and implementation or professional services engineering experience
