Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced MySQL DBA with 10+ years of hands-on experience in database administration, performance tuning, high availability, backup/recovery, and production support. The candidate should have strong experience managing large-scale MySQL environments and troubleshooting critical database issues.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support MySQL databases in production and non-production environments.
Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
Monitor database health, performance, capacity, and availability.
Perform SQL query and database performance tuning.
Analyze slow queries, execution plans, locks, deadlocks, and resource utilization.
Configure and troubleshoot MySQL Replication and high-availability environments.
Manage backup and recovery using tools such as MySQL Enterprise Backup, XtraBackup, or equivalent.
Perform database recovery and disaster-recovery activities.
Troubleshoot database incidents and provide root-cause analysis.
Manage users, roles, privileges, security, and access controls.
Work with development teams to optimize SQL queries, indexes, stored procedures, and database design.
Perform database upgrades, migrations, and version upgrades with minimal downtime.
Develop monitoring, automation, and maintenance scripts.
