The Cosmos DBA role is a remote position for professionals with 11+ years of experience in database administration. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing and maintaining Cosmos DB environments, monitoring performance, tuning databases, and ensuring high availability and reliability. The role involves implementing and managing database security, backup and recovery strategies, and replication processes, as well as troubleshooting complex database issues. The Cosmos DBA will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to support application releases, optimize database design, and ensure data integrity across environments.
Experience Requirements
11+ years of Database Administration experience
5+ years of Azure Cosmos DB administration
Experience supporting Production environments
Performance tuning and troubleshooting large-scale databases
High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR)
Good to Have
Azure Certification
Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
CI/CD using Azure DevOps
Experience with large-scale cloud migration projects
