Full-Time Porter – Student Housing Community

About the Role
Join our dynamic team at a thriving student housing community in Ithaca. As a Porter, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment for our residents. If you’re dependable, detail-oriented, and take pride in your work, we want you!
Key Responsibilities
Clean and maintain common areas: lobbies, hallways, lounges, laundry rooms, outdoor spaces
Empty trash and recycling receptacles, transport bulky items to disposal areas
Assist with snow removal (seasonal), and landscaping support as needed
Replenish supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, soap) in restrooms and shared facilities
Report maintenance issues or hazards to the maintenance team promptly
Set up common areas for resident events or meetings
Assist with move-in/move-out turnovers by prepping entryways and corridors
Who You Are
1+ year of experience in custodial, facilities, or similar roles (hospitality, janitorial, property)
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness
Dependable, punctual, and professional in interactions
Comfortable operating cleaning equipment and lifting up to 50 lbs
Flexible availability—including early mornings, evenings, and weekends when needed
Team player with a positive, resident-focused attitude
