Senior Accounting Director

Role Description The Senior Accounting Director is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the accounting function and ensuring accurate, compliant financial reporting. This position oversees the preparation, review, and consolidation of financial statements, coordinates month-end and year-end close processes, and maintains robust internal controls. The role involves partnering with finance and business leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, as well as monitoring regulatory and tax compliance across the organization. The Senior Accounting Director will develop and refine accounting policies, guide audits, and implement process improvements and systems enhancements. This role includes mentoring accounting team members, setting performance standards, and supporting strategic decision-making with clear, data-driven financial insights.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including consolidation and compliance with relevant standards.
Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or equivalent professional accounting qualification, with deep knowledge of Finance and accounting principles.
Advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and supporting strategic business decisions.
Proficiency in modern accounting software and ERP systems, with the ability to optimize processes and controls.
Proven experience in senior-level accounting or finance leadership, preferably in financial services or a related sector.
Demonstrated ability to manage remote teams, prioritize multiple deadlines, and work effectively in a distributed environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex financial information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; additional certifications in tax, audit, or financial management are an advantage.
