Financial Control Director

Role Description The Financial Control Director is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the financial control framework and ensuring robust governance across YOGI Finance’s operations. This role involves designing, implementing, and monitoring internal controls, reviewing financial processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies. The Financial Control Director will lead and coordinate internal audits, assess risk exposures, and recommend corrective actions to strengthen financial integrity and operational efficiency. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial data, preparing control and audit reports, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve control issues, and supporting leadership with insights for strategic decision-making. The role also includes continuous improvement of control procedures, mentoring finance and audit team members, and working closely with senior management on risk management and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Finance and Internal Controls skills, including experience in financial governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Candidates should possess solid Auditing and Analytical Skills, with the ability to conduct detailed reviews, interpret complex financial data, and provide clear recommendations.
Candidates should possess knowledge related to Infection Control only if relevant to prior roles in healthcare or regulated environments, with awareness of operational and procedural risk controls.
Candidates should possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and present findings to senior leadership.
Candidates should possess proven experience in a senior finance or financial control role, ideally in financial services, along with a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; professional certifications such as CA, CPA, CMA, or CIA are highly beneficial.
Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management capabilities, proficiency with financial and ERP systems, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
