Responsibilities
Job Description – Accounting Role
The Accounting role is responsible for managing end-to-end accounting activities, financial reconciliations, reporting, statutory compliance, audit support, and transaction analysis across multiple business units and regions. The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret financial documents, observations, and findings to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Perform reconciliations using an auditor’s approach, ensuring proper validation and documentation.
Prepare financial reports and perform variance analysis on actuals, forecasts, and financial documents.
Support business unit extensions and entity accounting across US, EMEA-R, and APAC regions.
Prepare transfer pricing, payroll, and inter-company journal entries.
Prepare MI reports for business units after month-end close.
Complete statutory validations, support statutory filings, and ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
Provide audit support and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
Manage end-to-end entity accounting activities, including accruals, fixed assets, reconciliations, depreciation, and amortization.
Cross train and assist team members, monitor daily progress, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Support additional adhoc accounting, reporting, and analysis tasks as required.
Required Skills And Competencies
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
Total 4 to 7 years of professional experience required.
Ability to analyze financial data, identify variances, and prepare clear supporting schedules.
Experience in handling entity accounting activities across multiple regions or business units.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage daily operational issues independently.
High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, timelines, and quality of deliverables.
Proficiency in MS Excel, financial systems, and reporting tools will be an added advantage.
Ability to learn how to use accounting applications and software to analyze transactions and extract reports.
Exposure to ERP systems / Reporting tools would be an added advantage.
Team player - Ability to learn and work in team.
Must have fluent English communication skills (spoken and written).
Qualifications
MBA - Finance / CA / CMA / ACCA / CPA / equivalent qualification will be preferred.
