Responsibilities
The Senior Associate Product Manager is responsible for supporting Product Managers as part of a product management team; however, they are not the accountable Product Manager for a product. They develop knowledge, experience, and skills by working side-by-side with experienced product managers while contributing to the success of complex products and product families.
The Successful Candidate Will:
Lead product discovery sessions, helping teams understand business problems, customer needs, and outcome hypotheses.
Support cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Design, Data, and Business stakeholders in ideating and executing experiments.
Gather, analyze, and communicate product insights, customer feedback, operational metrics, and measurable outcomes to stakeholders.
Maintain and communicate product health and operational metrics, ensuring progress against product goals and objectives is visible and measurable.
Collaborate with Product Managers and Agile teams to identify and resolve dependencies, impediments, and delivery risks.
Act as or support the role of Product Owner by contributing to backlog management, story refinement, acceptance criteria definition, prioritization discussions, and sprint ceremonies.
Communicate product releases, roadmap updates, experiment outcomes, and key product decisions to stakeholders and partners.
Work closely with business leaders, finance partners, and stakeholders to support change readiness, product adoption, and business outcomes.
Demonstrate strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills while building relationships across product disciplines.
Leverage data, metrics, and analytical thinking to support data-driven decision-making and identify opportunities for product improvement.
Continuously build expertise across all phases of the product lifecycle while contributing to an effective and mature product management practice.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
6–10 years of overall professional experience.
3+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or a related discipline within a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated experience with product lifecycle management and roadmap planning.
Experience working with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
Experience managing multiple workloads and competing priorities.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, influencing, and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated ability to leverage data and insights to drive business and product decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong analytical and quantitative aptitude with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, derive insights, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Excellent mathematical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Experience creating reports, dashboards, KPIs, and product health metrics.
Experience driving prioritization discussions and balancing customer, business, and technical needs.
Understanding of Cloud concepts.
Working experience in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments.
Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
Exposure to end users, business stakeholders, and technology teams.
Understanding of Distribution in Life/Group Insurance would be a plus.
