Sr. Solutions Architect

Role: Solution Architect
Location: South New Jersey – (Remote) once a month onsite.
Duration: Full Time with ComTec
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and deliver enterprise technology solutions supporting a highly regulated nuclear environment. The ideal candidate will have strong architecture experience across Applications and Infrastructure, with expertise in Digital Transformation, APIs, Electronic Procedures, and Records Management Systems.
Key Responsibilities
Define end-to-end solution architecture across applications, infrastructure, integrations, data, and security.
Design scalable and secure solutions supporting Electronic Procedures and Records Management Systems.
Lead architecture activities for Digital Transformation and application modernization initiatives.
Develop integration architectures using APIs, web services, middleware, and enterprise integration platforms.
Ensure solutions comply with nuclear regulatory, cybersecurity, records retention, and governance requirements.
Evaluate current-state architecture and develop future-state architecture and technology roadmaps.
Partner with application, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Work closely with external vendors and system integrators on solution design, technical deliverables, and architecture standards.
Identify architectural risks, dependencies, integration challenges, and technical constraints.
Conduct architecture/design reviews and provide technical guidance throughout implementation, testing, deployment, and transition to operations.
Required Experience
10+ years of IT experience with significant experience as a Solution/Enterprise Architect, preferably within nuclear, utilities, energy, or highly regulated industries.
Strong hands-on architecture experience across both Applications and Infrastructure.
Demonstrated experience with Digital Transformation, application modernization, and technology transformation programs.
Strong experience designing API-based integrations and enterprise integration solutions.
Experience with Electronic Procedures and Records/Document Management Systems.
Understanding of regulatory processes, compliance, governance, and cybersecurity requirements.
Experience with cloud, on-premise, and hybrid infrastructure architectures.
Strong risk management, stakeholder management, and vendor management experience.
Ability to communicate complex architecture and technical decisions effectively to both technical teams and senior business stakeholders
