Remote Tax Manager | National Wealth Management Firm
Location: 100% Remote | No Travel Required | U.S.-Based
Compensation: Up to $180,000 Base Salary + Full Benefits + No Billable Hours

A nationally recognized wealth management firm is looking for a Tax Manager to guide a book of high-net-worth clients, and the setup is hard to find: fully remote, no billable hour targets, and a role built around planning instead of production. No timesheets, no utilization reports, and no busy season grind.
You’ll work with HNW individuals and families, along with the small and closely-held businesses they own. Working alongside their financial advisors, you’ll see the full tax picture for each household and find planning opportunities and savings clients didn’t know were available.

What You’ll Do
Serve as lead tax advisor for a portfolio of HNW clients, guiding each relationship through tax planning, projections, and the final return
Review individual returns and returns for clients’ closely-held businesses, including S-corps, partnerships, and C-corps
Meet with clients and their financial advisors regularly through the year to map out proactive tax strategies
Advise business owners on structuring and running their entities tax-efficiently
Handle agency correspondence and notices at the federal and state level
Partner with advisors on planning conversations, including retirement, equity compensation, and charitable giving
What We’re Looking For
5-10+ years of accounting & tax experience (public accounting or WM)
Hands-on experience reviewing individual and business returns (1120s, 1065, & 1120)
Strong background serving small and closely-held businesses and their owners
A clear, confident communicator who builds trust with clients and follows through
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
Active CPA or EA license
