Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Family Lawyer role based in the Aurangabad division. The Family Lawyer will meet with clients to assess their situations, provide legal advice, and develop case strategies related to divorce, child custody, adoption, maintenance, domestic violence, and other family law matters. Daily tasks include drafting petitions, agreements, affidavits, and other legal documents; appearing in family courts and related forums; negotiating settlements; and maintaining accurate case files and records. The role involves conducting legal research, staying updated on relevant statutes and case law, and collaborating with other professionals as needed to support clients’ best interests. The lawyer will manage their own caseload, ensure compliance with professional and ethical standards, and provide empathetic yet objective guidance throughout the legal process.
Qualifications
Licensed to practice law, with a law degree (LL.B or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
Demonstrated knowledge of family law, including divorce, custody, guardianship, adoption, maintenance, and related procedures.
Strong skills in legal drafting, document review, and case file management.
Ability to conduct thorough legal research and interpret statutes, regulations, and case law.
Effective client communication skills, including interviewing, counseling, and explaining complex legal concepts in clear, respectful language.
Negotiation, mediation, and conflict-resolution abilities to support settlement-focused outcomes where appropriate.
High ethical standards, commitment to confidentiality, and sensitivity to diverse family backgrounds and circumstances.
Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple cases and court deadlines efficiently.
Comfort working independently, making sound judgments, and taking responsibility for strategic case decisions.
Prior experience in family law practice or litigation in the Aurangabad division or similar jurisdiction is an advantage.
