About the Opportunity
The hiring organization is seeking a Global Events Manager (East Coast) to build and execute its in-person and digital marketing events program. This full-time role based in the United States requires an understanding of the financial crime and compliance industry to drive pipeline, revenue, and brand objectives across key target regions.
The Global Events Manager will oversee the complete event lifecycle, including event selection, planning, briefing, logistics, on-site execution, and post-event nurture. Working as part of the Demand Generation team, this individual will collaborate closely with Sales, Business Development, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Marketing Operations to ensure every event achieves measurable return on investment.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain a target list of third-party conferences, sponsorships, and speaking opportunities across key markets, prioritizing opportunities by pipeline potential and audience alignment.
Plan and execute roundtables and executive dinners connecting prospects, customers, and executive leadership.
Lead the planning and delivery of customer summits, coordinating content development, speaker management, venue logistics, and attendee experience.
Direct end-to-end pre-event processes, including goal setting, venue sourcing, budgeting, contract negotiation, staffing, booth and stand design, collateral management, shipping logistics, and cross-functional alignment with Business Development for meeting scheduling and pre-event promotion.
Manage the on-site experience for staff and attendees, including oversight for events where not physically present on-site.
Oversee post-event lead management workflows, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met and appropriate lead nurture programs are deployed.
Partner with Sales on pre-event account targeting, meeting scheduling, and post-event lead handoff and reporting.
Collaborate with Marketing Operations to measure and report on event performance and return on investment.
Travel to events across the United States as well as major EMEA and APAC events, coordinating hand-offs to regional colleagues for smaller events.
Build and manage an end-to-end webinar program, including topic strategy, speaker recruitment, audience registration, promotion, run-of-show execution, and post-event follow-up.
Work with Product Marketing and Content teams to develop digital event themes that align with the broader marketing campaign calendar.
Coordinate co-hosted digital events with partner organizations.
Administer the webinar platform and associated technologies, including registration landing pages, reminder and follow-up email sequences, and integration with HubSpot.
Track, analyze, and report on key digital event metrics, including registrations, attendance rates, audience engagement, and pipeline contribution.
Pilot and introduce new digital event formats, such as panels, fireside chats, and virtual roundtables.
Required Qualifications
3 to 5+ years of experience managing B2B marketing events.
Demonstrated track record managing both in-person events (conferences, executive dinners, summits) and digital events (webinars) end-to-end.
Understanding of the financial crime and compliance industry.
Strong project management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent events across various planning stages while adhering to budgets and deadlines.
Hands-on experience with event and webinar management tooling, as well as CRM and marketing automation platforms, including HubSpot.
Proven experience managing vendor relationships, budgets, and contract negotiations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the executive presence to represent the organization effectively before clients and prospective buyers.
Demonstrated ability to work independently within a distributed, global team spanning the United States and Europe.
Ability and willingness to travel domestically within the United States and internationally to key EMEA and APAC events.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience within SaaS, financial technology (fintech), or related enterprise software environments.
