Role Description The Senior Admissions Advisor is a full-time remote role responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process, from initial inquiry to enrollment. This position includes conducting intake interviews, explaining program offerings, assessing applicant suitability, and providing accurate information about course structures, schedules, and career outcomes. The Advisor will manage communication via phone, email, and virtual meetings, maintain detailed records in admissions systems, and follow up with leads to support enrollment targets. Day-to-day tasks also involve collaborating with academic and support teams, contributing to student recruitment initiatives, and delivering virtual information sessions or training to junior admissions staff. The role requires consistent, responsive engagement with applicants to ensure a positive, inclusive, and supportive admissions experience.
Qualifications
Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written abilities and active listening.
Proficiency in Customer Service, with a focus on empathy, responsiveness, and problem-solving for prospective students.
Experience in Student Recruiting and outreach, including managing leads, conducting admissions interviews, and supporting enrollment goals.
Background in Training, mentoring, or coaching, ideally supporting junior team members or delivering informational sessions.
Sales skills, including consultative advising, handling objections ethically, and guiding individuals toward suitable program choices.
Experience in admissions, higher education, or related advising roles is an asset.
Comfort with remote work tools and CRM/admissions software; strong organizational and time-management skills.
Post-secondary education in business, education, counseling, or a related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in student engagement and advising practices.
