Experience the best of both worlds – live and work in beautiful Kerikeri, Bay of Islands
THE OPPORTUNITY
Join Pāmu’s growing horticulture operation in Kerikeri, in the beautiful Bay of Islands, as an Orchard Assistant. You’ll join a welcoming, supportive team where you’ll receive practical training and have opportunities to build your horticultural skills.
You’ll gain hands-on experience in our newly developed tunnel-house operation while helping maintain the health and productivity of the orchard through mowing and spraying, fungicide and insecticide applications, pruning, irrigation and fertigation support, and harvesting.
ABOUT YOU
You enjoy working outdoors, learning new skills and being part of a great team. You take pride in your work, enjoy contributing to a team, and are willing to learn.
Experience in horticulture would be helpful, but it is not essential. We’re also interested in people with transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
Some experience working in tunnel-house berry growing would be useful, although training and support can be provided.
Familiarity with berry crop health, pest and disease monitoring, and basic crop protection practices
Ability to work both independently and as part of an efficient seasonal berry team
A relevant New Zealand driver licence
We know that people bring different experiences and strengths to a role. If you’re interested but don’t meet every requirement, we’d still really like to hear from you.
ABOUT US
Pāmu is the brand name for Landcorp Farming Limited. BENEFITS
At Pāmu, we offer more than just a competitive salary. You’ll also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and life insurance, up to 4% KiwiSaver matching, an extra day of leave over Christmas, and enhanced parental leave. We’re committed to your growth too, with ongoing training and development to support your career.
