About The Role
The Digital Content Strategist at Michigan Farm Bureau will serve as the strategic lead and primary administrator for the organization’s digital member community and mobile engagement platforms. This role is pivotal in developing and executing comprehensive content, engagement, and adoption strategies for the MFB Thrive Community Platform and Mobile App. The goal is to enhance member connections, increase participation, and facilitate easier access to MFB resources, expertise, events, and opportunities. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of these platforms, ensuring they align with organizational goals and brand standards. Working collaboratively with various internal teams, program leaders, technical partners, and members, the Digital Content Strategist will leverage analytics, member feedback, and behavioral insights to continually improve the digital experience, increase engagement, and add value to members’ interactions with MFB.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, digital media, public relations, journalism, business, community management, or a related field. Equivalent experience may also be considered. A minimum of three years’ experience in digital communications, content strategy, community management, digital marketing, or a related area is required. Demonstrated experience managing or administering online communities, social platforms, content management systems, mobile applications, or similar digital engagement platforms is essential. Familiarity with online community platforms such as Higher Logic Thrive or comparable systems is preferred. Experience with event applications, digital event platforms, association management systems, customer relationship management systems, or integrated member databases is highly desirable. Knowledge of iMIS or similar systems, as well as experience developing automated or personalized digital communications, will be advantageous. Candidates with experience in community moderation, member engagement, or volunteer engagement will stand out.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary business administrator and content strategist for the MFB Thrive Community Platform and Mobile App, overseeing daily operations, configuration, content organization, community structure, and user experience.
Ensure platform alignment with MFB’s brand standards, communication strategies, and organizational priorities.
Develop and manage platform content, including editorial planning, engagement campaigns, and member communications to foster active participation.
Build, launch, and manage online communities based on organizational programs, member interests, and strategic priorities.
Collaborate closely with program owners and subject matter experts to establish community objectives, identify target audiences, develop content plans, and implement engagement strategies.
Utilize analytics, member feedback, and behavioral data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the digital member experience.
Monitor platform performance and engagement metrics to inform strategic decisions and enhance user satisfaction.
Coordinate with technical teams and external partners to ensure platform stability, security, and feature enhancements.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in digital engagement, community management, and content strategy to bring innovative ideas to the organization.
