Role Description The Chief Quality Officer is responsible for leading the hospital’s overall quality strategy, ensuring that clinical and operational practices align with regulatory standards and best-in-class patient care. This full-time, on-site role in Chennai includes overseeing quality assurance programs, designing and implementing quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives, and monitoring compliance with clinical protocols and accreditation requirements. The role involves collaborating closely with medical, nursing, and administrative teams to analyze quality metrics, conduct audits, and develop corrective action plans. The Chief Quality Officer will also provide guidance and training on quality and patient safety practices, lead incident review processes, and regularly report quality outcomes and improvement plans to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Quality Management and Quality Assurance, with experience designing and implementing hospital-wide quality systems.
Proficiency in Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement methodologies, including data analysis, root cause analysis, and process redesign.
Clinical background in Medical, Dental, Nursing or related healthcare disciplines, with a strong understanding of patient care workflows and clinical safety standards.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence multidisciplinary teams and drive culture change around quality and safety.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, including familiarity with quality indicators, dashboards, and reporting tools.
Thorough knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and patient safety frameworks.
Master’s degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Nursing, or a related field; advanced certifications in quality or patient safety (e.g., CPHQ) are an advantage.
Proven experience in a senior quality leadership role within a hospital or large healthcare organization, preferably in an acute care setting.
