Our platform supports enterprise customers across financial services, utilities, government, automotive and other industries.
We're a small, experienced engineering team and increasingly operate as an AI-native company. We're looking for an engineer who wants to help us build both the next generation of the Glider platform and the AI and automation infrastructure behind how we operate.
About the Role
We're looking for a Full Stack & AI Engineer with a particular interest in AI, integrations and automation.
This is broader than a traditional integration or automation role.
You'll be a hands-on software engineer capable of working across our application stack, while taking particular ownership of integrations, AI capabilities and automation.
One day you might be building a new Glider product feature. The next you could be integrating with a payment provider, building an AI-powered workflow, creating an internal agent, or rapidly prototyping a solution for a customer opportunity.
We're looking for someone who enjoys connecting systems, solving problems and shipping useful software quickly.
What You'll DoBuild Glider's Platform
Design, build and maintain production features across the Glider platform.
Work across frontend, backend, APIs and data depending on the problem being solved.
Build reliable, secure and maintainable software suitable for enterprise and payments environments.
Work closely with our engineering team to take ideas from concept through to production.
Improve existing platform capabilities as well as build new products and services.
Build Integrations
Integrations are a significant part of Glider's platform and growth strategy.
You'll:
Design and build integrations with payment providers, customer systems and technology partners.
Build and maintain APIs, webhooks and event-driven workflows.
Integrate third-party SaaS and enterprise platforms.
Develop reusable integration patterns rather than one-off solutions wherever possible.
Help improve our developer experience, API documentation and integration tooling.
Troubleshoot complex integration and data-flow issues.
Build with AI
We want AI to become a native part of both our product and our engineering environment.
You'll help us:
Build AI-powered product capabilities and customer experiences.
Develop AI agents and agentic workflows.
Integrate LLMs and AI services into production applications.
Build internal AI assistants and engineering tools.
Experiment rapidly with new models, frameworks and approaches.
Design appropriate guardrails, monitoring and human-in-the-loop processes for production AI.
Turn successful prototypes into reliable production systems.
We're less interested in someone who simply knows how to call an LLM API and more interested in someone who understands how to build useful software around AI.
Automation & Internal Systems
You'll also help automate how Glider operates.
This may include:
Building workflows across our internal systems.
Connecting platforms using APIs, webhooks and tools such as n8n.
Developing internal agents that automate repetitive work.
Automating reporting, alerts, task creation and operational workflows.
Identifying manual processes that should be replaced by software or AI.
The objective is simple: use technology to allow a small team to operate at significantly greater scale.
Prototype & Solution
Because we're a small team, engineering is close to customers and commercial opportunities.
From time to time you'll:
Join customer or partner discovery sessions alongside the Founder or technology team.
Understand technical requirements and integration constraints.
Help design potential solutions.
Rapidly prototype new ideas and customer experiences.
Help determine whether something should be configuration, an integration or a new product capability.
Turn successful prototypes into reusable Glider capabilities.
You should be comfortable understanding the commercial problem behind the technical requirement, rather than simply implementing a specification.
What We're Looking For
We're primarily looking for a strong software engineer.
You should have experience with:
Full-stack software development.
Modern JavaScript / TypeScript and/or Python.
Modern frontend frameworks.
Backend application development.
REST APIs, webhooks and third-party integrations.
Databases and data modelling.
Git and modern software development workflows.
Cloud-based application development.
You should also have practical experience building with:
LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic or similar.
AI-assisted development tools.
Automation platforms such as n8n, Make or similar.
You don't need to know every technology we use today. We're more interested in strong engineering fundamentals and your ability to learn quickly.
Nice to Have
Experience with any of the following would be particularly valuable:
Fintech or payments.
Payment gateway or banking integrations.
Enterprise SaaS.
Agentic AI systems.
MCP and AI tool integration.
RAG, embeddings and vector databases.
Event-driven architectures.
AWS.
Security-conscious or regulated environments.
CI/CD and DevOps.
Customer-facing solutions engineering.
Startup or scale-up environments.

Looks for opportunities to automate rather than accepting repetitive work.
Is curious and constantly experimenting with better ways of building.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 6–12 months, you'll have:
Shipped meaningful production features across the Glider platform.
Built new integrations with customers, partners and payment providers.
Delivered AI-powered capabilities into production.
Created internal AI and automation systems that materially reduce manual work.
Helped establish reusable integration and AI patterns across the platform.
Rapidly prototyped new product and customer opportunities.
Become someone the team can rely on to take an ambiguous problem and turn it into working software.
Most importantly, you'll have helped Glider build and ship significantly faster without needing to build a significantly larger team.
