About The Role
We're an AI/Marketing agency, hiring an AI-first SEO & AEO Specialist to lead SEO strategy for several client websites. You'll build each client's SEO plan and then make it happen. You'll use AI tools every day to research, audit, plan and report faster, and you'll check every result against real data. You'll work with our developers and writers to get fixes live, and show clients the results.
What You'll Do
Build SEO and AEO strategies and 90-day plans for each client, based on their goals and data
Set priorities, timelines and targets, and keep plans on track
Use AI tools and workflows to run SEO audits, keyword research and content planning
Pull and analyse SEO data with tools like DataForSEO
Test open-source SEO tools and repos (such as OpenSEO) and bring the useful ones into our workflow
Fix technical SEO issues and check fixes once they're live
Improve how clients show up in AI answers (AEO), and track it monthly
Monitor Google Search Console and GA4
Manage local SEO: Google Business Profile, reviews and citations
Send a short daily update and a simple monthly client report
What You'll Need
3+ years of hands-on SEO experience
Proven experience building SEO strategies and plans for clients, and delivering results against them
An AI-first way of working: you use AI daily and know how to get reliable output from it
Good knowledge of AI systems such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, and how they find and cite sources
Proven results using AI for SEO or AEO. Please show us examples, such as rankings, traffic or AI citations you improved
Working knowledge of SEO data tools such as DataForSEO
Natural curiosity: you explore open-source SEO repos like OpenSEO on GitHub and try new tools before others do
Solid technical SEO skills: indexing, redirects, sitemaps, schema
Experience with Google Search Console, GA4 and Google Business Profile
Strong written English, and reliable when working remotely
Nice To Have
Experience building AI workflows or automations (for example prompts, agents, n8n or Zapier)
Comfortable using APIs, or running and adapting tools from GitHub
WordPress or WooCommerce experience
Local SEO experience for US businesses
