Position Overview
How your role makes a difference
The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for managing complex tax compliance and advisory engagements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to relevant legislation. This role involves preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing technical guidance to junior staff, identifying tax planning opportunities, and supporting clients in achieving optimal tax outcomes. The Senior Tax Accountant contributes to maintaining high professional standards, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the firm’s overall service quality and reputation.
Key responsibilities you will have
• Prepare full financial statements & tax returns (Individuals, Companies, Trusts, Partnerships & SMSF).
• Overseeing and managing BAS, IAS, TPAR, PAYG, Super and FBT lodgements
• Assist with tax planning and provide business advisory services, helping clients assess financial and non-financial information to monitor and improve their performance.
• Use top-tier software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, LodgeIT, BGL) to streamline workflows.
• Build and nurture strong client relationships through insightful, proactive communication.
• Identify opportunities and offer tailored solutions that add real value
• Conducting tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
• Liaising with clients, tax authorities, and other stakeholders to provide excellent customer service
• Contributing to the development and implementation of improved processes and procedures
• Oversee, assigning work, mentoring and training junior members of the team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively liaise with clients
• Ability to multi task, to work independently and as part of a team

• Maintains professional presentability and meticulous attention to detail.
• Can effectively manage multiple tasks across diverse corporate portfolios.
