School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences
Two full-time, fixed-term positions for up to three years commencing January 2027
Base salary will range from $119,462 - $141,545 (Academic Level B) + 17% Superannuation

About This Opportunity
Our School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking two experienced and inspiring Lecturers in Pharmacy Practice to support the development of UQ’s new Doctor of Pharmacy program. Working within a collaborative and inclusive academic team, you will shape contemporary pharmacy education, mentor the next generation of pharmacy professionals and pursue impactful research that advances clinical practice and community outcomes.
Key responsibilities will include:
Teaching: Develop and deliver engaging courses in pharmacy practice and cognate disciplines, including clinical therapeutics, professional practice, the social and ethical dimensions of practice and clinical epidemiology. Coordinate courses, assess students and provide high-quality academic advice and support.
Research: Build an independent or collaborative research program with national recognition and impact. Contribute to competitive funding applications, publish in reputable journals and use best-practice research methodologies.
Supervision and Researcher Development: Contribute to the supervision and development of Honours and Higher Degree by Research students, supporting their capabilities, professional growth and responsible conduct of research.
Citizenship and Service: Build purposeful partnerships with colleagues, industry, government, professional bodies and the wider community. Contribute to School service, mentor others and consistently demonstrate UQ’s values.

About You
A PhD in pharmacy, pharmacy practice or a related field.
Experience and evidence of high-quality teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
Professional experience and expertise enabling you to teach pharmacy practice and cognate disciplines, including but not limited to, clinical therapeutics, professional practice, social and ethical dimensions of practice and clinical epidemiology.
Demonstrated experience in course coordination, contemporary curriculum design and the development or continuous improvement of pharmacy programs and course materials.
A developing reputation and track record of publications in reputable refereed journals and presentations at conferences.
Evidence of successfully seeking, obtaining and managing external research funding.
A growing record of supervising Research Higher Degree students.
Experience leading internal service roles at a School level and contributing to external activities within the wider profession.
