We are seeking an experienced and people-focused State Sales Manager to lead our Melbourne based Residential and Commercial Business Development Managers (BDMs). Reporting to the Chief Distribution Officer, you will be responsible for driving sales performance across Victoria and Tasmania, developing a high-performing team of BDMS and building strong broker and aggregator relationships. You will play a key leadership role in executing sales strategy, coaching and developing talent, and ensuring exceptional support and service across the region.
About you:
Strong knowledge of Residential and Commercial lending and the broker channel.
Proven leadership experience within financial services, banking or lending.
Demonstrated success developing and leading high-performing sales teams.
Exceptional relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate business insights into action.
A collaborative and authentic leadership style with a passion for developing people.
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout Victoria and Tasmania as required.
The role:
Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of Residential and Commercial Business Development Managers to achieve agreed sales outcomes.
Drive sales growth and market share across Victoria and Tasmania.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key brokers, introducers and aggregators.
Implement national sales initiatives and strategies within the region.
Monitor, analyse and report on sales performance, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
Drive accountability, sales discipline and adherence to business processes and risk frameworks.
Support the ongoing development of your team through coaching, mentoring and performance management.
Work collaboratively across the business to deliver positive outcomes for brokers, customers and stakeholders.
