Role Description The Project Accountant is a full-time, off shore Manila. This role is responsible for overseeing project-related financial activities, including preparing budgets, tracking project costs, and monitoring variances against forecasts. The Project Accountant will manage project billing, review contract terms for financial implications, and ensure timely, accurate invoicing and revenue recognition. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining project financial records, reconciling accounts, supporting month-end reporting, and collaborating with project managers and operations teams to provide clear financial insights. The role also involves preparing financial reports for internal stakeholders, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
Qualifications
Strong skills in project accounting, including budgeting, cost tracking, and variance analysis.
Proficiency with general accounting functions such as reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
Experience working with Xero accounting or ERP software and solid MS Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables).
Ability to interpret contracts and project documentation for financial and billing requirements.
Attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
English - Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with project, operations, and leadership teams.
Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) is an advantage.
Experience in manufacturing, construction, or engineering environments is beneficial.
