Role Description The NGS Specialist at Hamirates Healthcare Services is a full-time, on-site marketing role based in Gulbarga. The specialist is responsible for connecting doctors with next-generation sequencing (NGS).
Other knowledge related to workflows, including sample preparation, library construction, sequencing runs, and primary data quality checks. Daily activities include interpreting sequencing data, generating clear and accurate reports for clinical and research teams, and maintaining detailed documentation in accordance with laboratory standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves collaborating with clinicians, pathologists, and laboratory staff to integrate genomic findings into patient care, troubleshooting technical issues with instruments and assays, and contributing to the optimization of protocols and implementation of new NGS panels. The NGS Specialist also supports training of team members on NGS procedures and ensures adherence to safety, quality control, and accreditation guidelines.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess expertise in presenting NGS, explanation of workflows, including DNA/RNA extraction, library preparation, sequencing platform operation, and basic bioinformatics analysis.
Candidates should possess skills in data interpretation, variant analysis, and report generation for clinical or research applications.
Candidates should possess knowledge of quality control procedures, laboratory information systems, and regulatory or accreditation standards for molecular diagnostics.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary clinical and laboratory teams.
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or a related field; relevant laboratory experience with NGS is highly beneficial.
Experience in clinical genomics, oncology testing, or inherited disease panels, and familiarity with standard NGS platforms and analysis tools is an advantage.
Ability to work with precision, follow standardized protocols, manage multiple cases concurrently, and maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
