Finance Assistant – Sales Ledger & Credit Control

At Hydro International, we're looking for a proactive and organised Finance Assistant to join our Transactional Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with sales ledger and credit control experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to contribute to continuous improvement within a growing global business.
As the first point of contact for all sales ledger activities within our Services division, you'll play a key role in maintaining robust financial controls, managing customer accounts and supporting cash collection activities. You'll work closely with both internal colleagues and external customers, helping to ensure the smooth operation of our finance processes.
What you'll be doing
Raising sales invoices and Applications for Payment
Updating customer portals and ensuring invoicing controls are maintained
Managing credit control activities and chasing outstanding debt
Working with customers and Project Managers to resolve payment queries
Maintaining debtor days in line with company targets
Posting cash receipts and completing bank reconciliations
Producing debtor reports for internal and external stakeholders
Supporting compliance with credit insurance requirements
Contributing to process improvements and finance best practice initiatives
What we're looking for
Previous experience within a Sales Ledger, Accounts Receivable or Credit Control role
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Experience using finance or ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Business Central
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
A proactive, self-motivated approach and willingness to drive improvements
Comfortable working in a changing and evolving environment
