Role Description The Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Sandila. The person in this position will develop, implement, and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and standards to ensure regulatory compliance and a safe working environment across plant operations. Daily responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, leading incident and accident investigations, overseeing corrective and preventive actions, and coordinating occupational health initiatives. The role also involves delivering EHS training programs, supporting audits and inspections, maintaining accurate documentation and reports, and collaborating closely with production, maintenance, and HR teams to embed safety culture. The EHS Manager will continuously identify improvement opportunities to enhance environmental performance, reduce hazards, and promote safe behaviors at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) principles and regulations, including Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Health & Safety.
Experience in Occupational Health programs, including risk assessment, workplace exposure control, and health surveillance.
Proficiency in Accident Investigation, including root cause analysis, incident reporting, and implementation of corrective actions.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver Training related to safety procedures, emergency response, and safe work practices.
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, safety management, or a related discipline; advanced certifications in EHS are an advantage.
Familiarity with Indian environmental and occupational health and safety laws, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Experience in manufacturing or industrial plant environments, ideally in chemicals, coatings, or related sectors.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills, with attention to detail and data-driven decision-making.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and promote a safety-first culture.
Proficiency in using EHS management systems and basic MS Office tools for documentation, tracking, and reporting.
