Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design Engineer role based in Ahmedabad. The Design Engineer will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing machinery and components for textile and material handling applications, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and quality standards. Daily activities include developing detailed drawings and 3D models, collaborating with production, R&D, and quality teams, and refining designs based on testing, feedback, and cost considerations. The role involves preparing technical documentation, supporting customization requests for clients, and contributing to continuous improvement of existing product lines and processes.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Design Engineering and Product Design, with the ability to translate requirements into practical and innovative solutions.
Background in Mechanical Engineering and understanding of mechanical systems used in industrial machinery.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drafting and 3D modeling of components and assemblies.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles relevant to machinery design and electronic controls is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience in industrial machinery, textiles, or material handling equipment design is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and standards, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams on-site in Ahmedabad.
