Dental Assistant - Maven Dental Hervey Bay

Working closely with our dentists, Practice Manager and front office team, you'll help deliver exceptional patient care and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.
What your days look like:
You'll provide chairside support across a range of general and restorative procedures while creating a positive experience for patients. Shifts are offered as they come up, mostly to cover leave and busy periods, and vary from week to week.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing chairside assistance across general, restorative and preventive treatments
Assisting with extractions and other surgical procedures
Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising instruments in line with infection control standards
Keeping patients comfortable and informed, especially those who feel anxious
Maintaining accurate clinical notes and charting in the practice management software
Helping with stock control and ordering for your surgery
To succeed in the role, you will bring:
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant and/or a Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or higher)
Knowledge of infection control and sterilisation protocols
Confidence using dental practice management software (desirable)
A calm, reassuring manner with nervous patients
Clear and professional communication with patients and the team
A willingness to share your experience and support newer team members
