About the role
We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to design and build AI agents that take real work off our business
teams. You will turn business problems into working agents, connect them to our systems and data, and
help teams adopt them.
This is a hands-on role. You will write code every day, own agents from first prototype through
production, and set the standards for how we build, test and run them.
Key responsibilities
Build AI agents and agentic tools
• Design and build AI agents for business functions such as sales, customer support, operations,
finance and marketing.
• Build the tools agents use: API connectors, data lookups, document handling and workflow
actions.
• Develop with Claude, including tool use, Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and Claude
Code.
• Write and maintain system prompts, and design multi-step and multi-agent workflows.
• Build retrieval over company knowledge so agents answer from approved information.
Deploy and run on Azure
• Deploy agents and supporting services on Azure, using services such as Azure Functions,
Container Apps, Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search.
• Integrate agents with business systems such as Salesforce, internal databases and third-party
APIs.
• Set up identity, secrets and access control with Entra ID and Key Vault.
• Monitor usage, quality and cost, and keep AI spend under control.
Quality, safety and governance
• Build evaluation sets and automated tests so agent quality is measured, not assumed.
• Add guardrails: human approval for sensitive actions, protection against prompt injection, and
handling of personal data.
• Keep audit trails of what each agent did and why.
AI enablement
• Work with business teams to find and prioritize use cases worth automating.
• Help teams adopt AI tools through demos, guidance and reusable templates.
• Set engineering standards for agent development and mentor other developers.
Requirements
• Minimum 6 years of software engineering experience, with recent hands-on work building and
shipping AI agents or agentic tools.
• Production experience building with Claude: the API, tool use and prompt design.
• Experience building Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that connect agents to business
systems and data.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, including deploying services and using Azure AI services.
• Strong coding skills in Python or TypeScript, and experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience building agents that call tools and act on business systems, not only chat interfaces.
• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings and a vector store.
• Experience testing and evaluating AI systems, and improving them from the results.
• Understanding of AI security and privacy: prompt injection, access control and handling of
personal data.
• Able to explain technical choices to non-technical colleagues and turn their needs into working
solutions.
• A portfolio or examples of agents you have built and put into use.
Nice to have
• Experience working with Claude Code.
• Experience with an agent framework, or with building agent orchestration from scratch.
• Experience with other model providers, and judgment on when each fits.
• Experience integrating with Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code and observability tools.
