Nanyang Business School Graduate Studies supports a diverse population of graduate students across specialised Master's, MBAs programmes. The Employer Engagement & Operations function plays a key role in strengthening graduate employability, building strategic employer partnerships, supporting employment outcomes, and ensuring operational excellence across Graduate Studies.
Reporting to the Director of Graduate Studies, the Senior Assistant Director, Employer Engagement is responsible for leading employer engagement initiatives, developing strategic partnerships with employers and industry stakeholders, overseeing employment outcomes reporting and data governance, driving operational excellence, and leading a team to support the strategic objectives of NBS Graduate Studies.
Responsibilities:
1. Employer Engagement & Operations Leadership
Develop and implement employer engagement and operational strategies that support the objectives of NBS Graduate Studies.
Lead, manage, and develop the Employer Engagement & Operations team to deliver high-quality services and achieve departmental goals.
Drive strategic initiatives, process improvements, and operational enhancements to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability.
Oversee resource planning, budgeting, and operational performance within the portfolio.
2. Employer Partnerships and Industry Engagement
Develop and strengthen strategic relationships with employers, recruiters, alumni, industry partners, and professional organisations across key sectors and markets.
Identify opportunities to enhance graduate employability through employer engagement initiatives, recruitment activities, and industry collaborations.
Provide market intelligence and industry insights to support departmental planning and graduate employment objectives.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen industry partnerships and employment opportunities.
3. Employment Outcomes, Data and Compliance
Oversee employment outcomes reporting, data governance, and related compliance requirements.
Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting of employment and employer engagement data for internal and external stakeholders.
Support rankings, accreditation, and institutional reporting requirements where applicable.
Promote data-informed decision-making through the analysis of employment and stakeholder engagement trends.
4. Stakeholder Management and Strategic Collaboration
Partner with programme teams, student engagement teams, faculty, alumni, employers, and other stakeholders to support Graduate Studies objectives.
Manage complex stakeholder relationships and service recovery situations where required.
Represent Graduate Studies in discussions with senior internal and external stakeholders.
5. Strategic Projects and Continuous Improvement
Lead strategic projects and change initiatives that support organisational priorities.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational effectiveness through technology, automation, process redesign, and stakeholder engagement.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and stakeholder experience.
Requirements:
Recognised Bachelor's degree from a reputable university. A postgraduate qualification or MBA would be advantageous.
Significant leadership experience with a proven track record of managing teams, stakeholders, and strategic initiatives.
Experience in employer engagement, business development, partnership management, industry relations, operations management, talent development, or related functions.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience developing and managing strategic partnerships and collaborative initiatives.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Experience managing complex projects, operational improvement initiatives, or organisational change programmes.
International exposure and experience working across diverse cultures and markets would be advantageous.
Experience within higher education, executive education, graduate programmes, career services, or student-related functions would be advantageous.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Resourceful, adaptable, and able to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
