Technical Skills
The SAP Project Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end SAP implementation, rollout, upgrade, enhancement, and support projects. The role involves managing project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and stakeholder expectations while ensuring successful delivery aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead SAP projects across modules such as SAP S/4HANA, ECC, PP, MM, SD, FICO, WM/EWM, ABAP, Basis, and Integration.
Manage the complete project lifecycle including planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
Define project scope, deliverables, milestones, and resource requirements.
Coordinate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, technical teams, vendors, and leadership.
Ensure adherence to project governance, quality standards, and organizational methodologies.
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
Track project risks, issues, dependencies, and implement mitigation plans.
Conduct steering committee meetings and provide regular status reports to clients and senior management.
Drive requirement gathering, solution design reviews, testing, cutover, deployment, and hypercare activities.
Manage offshore-onshore delivery teams and ensure effective communication across all stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with change management, security, and audit requirements.
Support pre-sales activities including effort estimation, solution planning, and proposal reviews.
Required Skills & Experience
12-18 years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years as SAP Project Manager.
Proven experience managing SAP implementation, transformation, migration, or support projects.
Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.
Strong understanding of SAP functional and technical landscapes.
Expertise in project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid.
Experience in stakeholder management and executive-level communication.
Knowledge of project planning tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
Strong risk management, budgeting, and resource management skills.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, or SAP Activate certification.
Experience managing global delivery teams and multiple workstreams.
Strong knowledge of SAP Activate methodology.
