Role Description The Sr Manager Collection and Retention & Revenue Assurance role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for leading collection strategies, monitoring customer payment behavior, and driving initiatives to improve cash flow and reduce bad debt. The position oversees retention programs, analyzing churn drivers and implementing actions to enhance customer loyalty and lifetime value. The Sr Manager also leads revenue assurance activities, including validation of billing, reconciliation of revenue streams, and identification of leakages and process gaps. Daily responsibilities include managing a team, collaborating with finance, sales, and operations, preparing performance reports and forecasts, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. The role requires proactive problem-solving, strong stakeholder management, and continuous improvement of collection, retention, and revenue assurance processes.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in collections management, credit control, and dispute resolution, with experience optimizing cash flow and minimizing bad debt.
Proven experience in customer retention, churn analysis, and lifecycle management, with ability to design and execute retention strategies.
Hands-on experience in revenue assurance, billing validation, data reconciliation, and identifying and mitigating revenue leakages.
Advanced skills in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting, including proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
Solid understanding of telecom or communications technology business models, pricing, and product structures (or similar subscription-based industries).
Demonstrated leadership ability to manage and develop teams, drive performance, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with a customer-focused and ethical approach.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications in finance or revenue assurance are an advantage.
Experience working with ERP, CRM, and billing platforms, and familiarity with internal controls
