About the Role
AIA is looking for Core Architecture Specialist who will serve as the core solution architecture authority by ensuring business capabilities are supported by appropriate technology architecture in the Core Insurance domain, defining and enforcing technical standards, validating non-functional requirements, and collaborating with delivery teams to ensure solutions are implemented in alignment with architectural designs.
Roles and Responsibilities
Strategy and Roadmap
Lead the formulation of the applications strategy and roadmap within the core insurance domain, assess current position, set target state, perform gap analysis and define roadmap to close the gaps.
Collaborate with relevant business stakeholders to align architecture initiatives with overall business strategy, priorities, and growth objectives.
Project Solution Design
Collaborate closely with business analysts and stakeholders to translate project-specific business requirements into scalable and compliant solution designs.
Ensure alignment with development standards, regulatory requirements, and enterprise architecture principles.
Develop comprehensive solution designs in the form of architectural blueprints and supporting documentation that articulate system components, integration points, data flows, and technology stack choices. These artifacts serve as a reference for development teams, stakeholders, and governance bodies throughout the project lifecycle.
Technology Research and Selection
Research technology options relevant to the project (e.g., CRM solutions, digital onboarding, claims automation, data analytics) and assess their applicability.
Recommend technologies that best fit the project's objectives and effectively address business requirements while ensuring optimal cost-efficiency.
Project Solution Cost Estimation
Collaborate with other architects, IT delivery, and business analyst, to estimate solution costs, including infrastructure, licensing, professional services, and resources for development and testing.
Technical Leadership and Guidance
Provide hands-on guidance to development teams during implementation, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
Act as a technical mentor and escalation point for project-related issues.
Analytical Problem Solving
Conduct analysis of complex technical challenges and provide recommendations to the development team/vendors within the project scope.
Interpret technical documentation, develop actionable solutions, and make informed recommendations to project leadership.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree (S1) Degree in Technical/Information System/Other related educations
10 years experience in IT areas with 3 years in solution architecture or system analysis
Certifications/licenses (are an advantage):
Enterprise Architecture certification (e.g. TOGAF)
Business certification (e.g. FLMI from LOMA)
Business architecture certification (e.g. Certified Business Architect (CBA) based on Business Architecture Body of Knowlede (BIZBOK)
Technical certification (e.g. Azure, Java, Microsoft)
Special skills:
Proven professional experience in designing and implementing enterprise scale systems in core insurance domains (Policy Administration, Claims Administration, Distribution Management, etc.)
Proven professional experience in working with enterprise scale of Policy Admin System, Accounting System, Compensation System, Customer Relationship Management, Data Warehouse, Data Analytics, Data Quality, Anti Money Laundering, Predictive Modelling, Electronic Identification System and Cloud computing – Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS).
Familiarity with regulatory and insurance-specific standards (e.g. IFRS17, POJK 8, POJK 36)
Knowledgeable in computer programming, database design, enterprise software, operating systems and hardware
Familiarity with architecture modeling tools (e.g. Archimate, Sparx, Draw.io)
Conversant with Webmethods, Informatica, Java, .NET, Web Development, Mobile Development, Database (SQL & No SQL)
Fluent to communicate in English
